Day 1 — Aswan

High Dam & Friendship Monument
The High Dam was built to protect Egypt from the annual flooding of the Nile River and to control water levels across the country. One of its main purposes was long-term water storage, which led to the creation of Lake Nasser — the world’s largest artificial lake. The project was mainly financed and supervised by the Soviet Union, and visitors can also see the Friendship Monument symbolizing the cooperation between Egypt and the Soviet Union.

Philae Temple of Goddess Isis
The Temple of Isis, goddess of love, joy, music, and motherhood, is located on a beautiful island. Built during the Greek era, it is considered one of the first religious temples constructed by the Ptolemies. You will enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and discover scenes of Isis with her son Horus and her husband Osiris, reflecting her image as a loving mother and devoted wife.

Abu Simbel Temple
Located around 280 km south of Aswan, Abu Simbel is one of Egypt’s most iconic temples, carved directly into the mountains of the Nubian Desert. It is dedicated to Ramses II, one of the greatest kings in Egyptian history. The walls are richly decorated with scenes from the Battle of Kadesh, while the nearby temple of Queen Nefertari honors the beloved wife of Ramses II.

Kom Ombo Temple
A unique double temple dedicated to two gods: Horus the Falcon God and Sobek the Crocodile God. The temple is divided into two symmetrical sections and contains one of the oldest known calendars in history, as well as the famous Nilometer used by priests to measure the Nile and calculate taxes.

Day 3

Edfu Temple
Edfu Temple is the second-largest religious structure in Egypt after Karnak Temple and one of the best-preserved ancient temples. Dedicated to Horus, the protector god, the temple tells the legendary story of Horus avenging the murder of his father Osiris by his uncle Seth. The site later became known as the “Place of Victory.”

Temple of Queen Hatshepsut
Carved into the cliffs of El Qurna Mountain, this magnificent temple was built by Queen Hatshepsut, the only female pharaoh of the New Kingdom. Its unique design features three impressive terraces connected by a grand staircase.

Colossi of Memnon
These two giant statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III once guarded the entrance to his massive mortuary temple. Today, they remain among Luxor’s most famous landmarks.

Karnak Temple
The largest temple complex in Egypt, located on the east bank of the Nile. Built over thousands of years by different pharaohs, Karnak stands as a symbol of the greatness of ancient Egyptian civilization.

Luxor Temple
Dedicated to the goddess Mut, wife of Amun-Ra, the temple features a majestic obelisk of Ramses II — its twin now stands in Paris at Place de la Concorde. Inside the temple, visitors can discover traces of four great civilizations: Ancient Egyptian, Greek, Christian, and Islamic.
